Jean Vanier

This biography of Jean Vanier is a high-interest, low-vocabulary book for adolescents and adults with limited literacy skills. Vanier (1928- ) is the founder of L'Arche, an international organization which creates communities where people with developmental disabilities and those who assist them share life together. Vanier believes that "...being human is to be a friend to the weak person." In 2015 at the age of 86, Vanier was awarded the Templeton Prize for his advocacy of belonging and social justice.
